Get Out the Women’s Vote

Our first project in the BFA seminar was to create a poster for AIGA’s Get Out the Women’s Vote campaign. As I was researching, I fell in love with the phrase “Vote as you please, but please vote.” The goal of the project was to be nonpartisan and encourage women to vote this year; thus, I thought this quote did a wonderful job of expressing the need to vote. I utilized history book theme because I have a passion for book cover design. The poster includes a “series” of three books, which are each centered on an important year for voting rights.

This poster was exhibited in the Grunwald Gallery from Feb. 9–March 12 as a part of the “Empowering the Women’s Vote and 63 Suffragists of Color” exhibition.
